In 1995 “NAFTAROS” JSC (futher referred as “Company”) entered the international market of engineering services for the oil refining industry. Being deeply experienced in high-tech projects and turnkey solutions we can provide our customers with top-level up-to-date technologies good enough to target tasks and needs of any kind. Amongst the projects impleneted by our Company there were more than a dozen of those that include modernization, reconstruction and 'from scratch' development of oil refining facilities at the Turkmenbashy Oil Refinery (Turkmenistan). A number of pioneering ecological projects have been also implemented there - the ones aimed at decontamination and preventing territories, water areas and underground waters from oil pollution. In order to deversify operations and provide our future projects with innovative solutions the Company invested it's own resources in a number of design projects later being implemented and put into operation: a facility for manufacturing heat-insulation materials out of domestic minerals (the diabase of Krasnovodskoe field, Turkmenistan) and a pultrusion manufacture of fiberglass shapes (Russia).

Our Company provides a number of engineering services listed below as consequent stages:

• Survey

When surveying a prospective site for up-coming construction works we can provide a number of studies including topographic, geotechnical and drilling ones as well as a set of geophisical researches: aerogeophysical and experimental studies, lab and desk works, technological expertise. The actual schedule of required studies is determined by the oncoming needs.

The studies are to be done by our supervisers with domestic companies engaged to make fieldworks.

Surveys are used later for feasibility assessments and project justifications as well as for making techno-commercial proposals and composing contract documentation.

In some cases we make surveys at our own expenses.

• Picking Technologies

When renovating, upgrading or constructing oil refining facilities we make it our sine qua non duty to obtain proposals from the world leading developers of innovative techonologies e.g. UOP (USD), FOSTER WHEELER (USA) etc. A licensor of our choice is always the one who gives the most effective technology that proved itself reliable in use.

• Research and Development Works

In some cases we make researches and provide development works at our own resources or hand by hand with scientific institutes.

Thus a number of ecological projects we run urged us to provide the most of research and development works at our own expences and largely with our own resources what gave birth to a mobile ecological laboratory and the DUNE-M2 pilot unit for sludge disposal (both units built ourselves).

• Design Works

The company provides the whole set of design works with qualified project developers (both Russian and foreign) engaged to work under the supervision of our Technical department that monitors it's specifications to be strictly observed.

• Non-Standardized Equipment

When in need of a non-standardized equipment we familiarize feasible manufacturers with the draft proposals, then learn their offers, negotiate and make a delivery agreement.

• Field Supervision

The field supervision is provided by our Technical department with engaged project organizations working hand by hand to monitor the project being implemented at site.

• Contract Supervision

When contract supervision is required for mounting sophisticated equipment or ad hoc systems we ask our licensors, designers or manufacturers for their own supervisors.

• Pre-Commissioning

When the mechanic works are to be finished while the launching and exploration tests are to begin we may call our licensors, designers or manufacturers for supervisors if the up-coming works are pretty hard and the professional skills of mounters require supervising.

• Warranty service

During warranty period the Company provides the whole set of the engineering works we took charge of as a contractor.
